I apologize for the messiness of my blog thus far! I’m still learning things as I go.
Originally, I started this blog on Tumblr of August 2018 to talk about cartoons and to find old gems that people may have forgotten, but with the “Tumblr Purge,” I wanted a site where I could back up my content and format it the way I wanted it. As many of us know, Tumblr can be really bad about flagging posts that don’t deserve to be flagged. And since there have been content on my blog in the past that has been… “less than PC,” I was worried that my blog might be deleted without just cause and without any warning.
So here I am! Trying something completely new and extremely daunting from easy to customize Tumblr!
I try to make my content as family-friendly as possible. Though, I will say I have a propensity to swear when I am trying to describe extreme emotional reactions that I am experiencing— however, I do try to keep that to a minimum when I am reviewing a work professionally.
My current projects on this blog are: The Weekly Spotlight, in which I discuss an anime or a cartoon that I wish to highlight for that week, and On This Day In History, in which I discuss important dates in animation history and why they are special. I usually Queue the OTDIH beforehand, so there is no worry that I will miss a day. However, I am only a college student— I’m currently in my Undergraduate degree in Psychology working towards an Art Therapy degree. That means that The Weekly Spotlight might not be very “weekly.” And beforehand, I want to apologize for my lack of consistency. I know that this is something that I have to work on and going into the next year, this is one of the things that I wish to work on. This blog is a side-project that I’ve had a passion for for as long as I can remember and I finally want a space where I can put that to use. I really hope I don’t raise your expectations too high early on.
I hope that you’ll be patient with me as I work through this process as I learn about myself, and animation along the way!
Within the next couple days, I should be posting my old content onto here for safe keep. We’ll see if anything comes out of this! In the meantime, I hope you’ll find some interesting bits and pieces to keep you interested until the meatier content comes to light!
Until then, you’re never too old to enjoy cartoons!
